Ronski
Speed (euphonic)
German DJ
and producer: Ronski Speed, has created some of the most in demand tracks
and remixes of the past few years. His records “The Space we Are” & “The
Perspective Space” with Rex Mundi, “Incognition” with Stoneface & Terminal,
“I'm Alone” with Sun Decade, “E.O.S”, “Asarja” with Mirco De Govia and the
“All The Way” with singer Aruna were genuine club smasher
and hammered by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Paul
Oakenfold, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten.
Starting his
musical career in 1997, Ronski Speed (Ronny Schneider) became quickly a part of the brand new
label Euphonic (based in Loebau in eastern germany) as an artist, A&R and friend.
2000: He
kicked off with a remix of the now legendary “Glass Garden” by Sonorous,
which became a massive club hit. His project Barefoot Brains released the
Remedy/Poison EP in UK.
2001: Ronski
co-produced Mirco De Govia including the tracks “Epic Monolith” (entering
the UK sales charts) & “Things That Matter” along with Mirco's remix work
which has included Ralphie B's “Massive” and Lasgo's “Something”
(UK
Top 10). The Ronski Speed remix of Kyau vs. Alberts “Outside” was released
on Wea/Club Culture records and entered the German sales charts.
In 2002
Ronski wrote and remixed the singles “Second Sun” and “Protonic” for
Sonorous, which became favourites of Tiesto
(Top
Tune in DJ-Mag), Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten.
Furthermore he started the project Sun Decade along with singer Devia Lea.
The first release was the legendary “I'm Alone”, which also became a massive
club hit and was hammered by Paul Van Dyk for more than a half year.
2003: “I'm
Alone” of Sun Decade was re-released in the UK and Ronski delivered a series
of quality remixes, including : Binary Finary's legendary “1998”,
Goldenscan's massive “Sunrise”, Aly & Fila's epic “Eye of Horus” and Miro's
classic “By You Side”.
His
first solo single “Iris” became a massive club hit which was played by the
big names and picked up by Paul van Dyk for his Mix-Mag Compilation.
Together with Mirco De Govia he finished some tracks for the “Chronoscale”
album and the massive Mirco De Govia remix for Kyau vs. Alberts “Velvet
Morning” (which was also signed to Above & Beyond's label, Anjunabeats).At
this time Ronski began focusing more on his DJ career and starts his own
first radio shows on Di.FM and many other stations.
In 2004 the
record “E.O.S” was released on Euphonic and ATCR in UK. Ronski remixed Armin
Van Buuren, Tatana and Rusch & Murray for Anjunabeats - all these mixes
helped him to define his own unique sound. Sun Decade's second single
“Follow You” appears on his DJ mix compilation Positive Ways 3 showcasing
Ronski's deck-side abilities between Progressive and Trance. During this
year, he toured through the UK, USA, Germany, Holland, Russia, Scandinavia
and Switzerland while also entering the 2004 DJ Mag Top 100 for the first
time at number 83.
2005:
Started off with a collaboration with Mirco De Govia: “Asarja”, followed by
the “2Day EP” and “Sole Survivor” (a collaboration between Ronski and
Sebastian Sand). The track “Incognition”, with Stoneface & Terminal followed
and became one of the most in-demand progressive trance tunes of 2005. This
track made it on every playlist while PvD featured the track on his DJ-Mag
Mix CD. Ronski Speed performed in the UK for Gatecrasher, Passion and
Wildchild and toured in the USA, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea,
Canada, Russia, Holland, Switzerland, Scandinavia and of course in his home
country Germany, where he was playing at Europe's biggest open air Festival
Nature One at the main stage. In March 2005 Ronski Speed performed at the
Love Parade Mexico in Acapulco. Furthermore he mixed and compiled the
official Love Parade compilation. In November the worldwide release of his
3rd Mix CD Monsterseries Vol.1 proves his talent and skill in choosing the
right tracks at the right time. As a result of this, Ronski Speed stayed in
DJ Mag top list at #119.
In 2006
Ronski remixed Above & Beyond, Luminary ft. Ashley Tomberlin, Tatana, Carl B
and brought the 3rd Sun Decade single. In UK the remixes of “Incognition”
were re-released and the new single “The Space We Are” was kicking up the
playlists of all the big names like Judge Jules, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry
Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz. Ronski played for the
first time in China, Bangkok, Hongkong and headlined nights at Spundae Los
Angeles, 1015 in San Francisco and Turnmills in London. In October Ronski
Speed returned on #87 at the 2006 DJ Mag Top100!
2007: The
year started with Ronski’s massive remixes for DT 8 Project, ATB and Heather
Nova. Euphonic celebrates its 10th anniversary with the release of Sun
Decade's “I'm Alone” in a stunning Stoneface & Terminal Remix and the
mash-up “E.O.S. vs. Satellite” between Ronski Speed and Above & Beyond's
side-project Oceanlab. A special 10 years Euphonic mix-compilation, mixed by
Ronski Speed and Kyau & Albert, accomplished the celebrations. The Singles
“Soulseeker” with Stoneface & Terminal, “Stormbound” under the guise RST and
“Love All The Pain Away” with dutch singer Julie Scott were released and
supported by all the top dj's like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten,
Markus Schulz and Paul Van Dyk who played the Kyau & Albert remix in almost
every set. Markus Schulz mashed up another track of Ronski Speed with Rex
Mundi's “Perspective”. The result: 'The Perspective Space' became a genuine
Club Tool and was hammered by Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Gabriel & Dresden,
Paul Oakenfold and Above & Beyond. Because of the huge demand, Armin Van
Buuren's Label Armada picked up this massive tune and released it in January
2008 as Ronski Speed vs. Rex Mundi “The Perspective Space”.As DJ Ronski was
experiencing new places in the world like Turkey, Estonia, Spain, Italy,
Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia and he played again for known brands like
Singapore's Zouk club, Stockholm's Monday Bar, the Dopler club in
Bratislava, Ministry of Sound in Taipeh and New York's Webster Hall. Finally
he climbed up to the 44th position on the DJ Mag Top 100.
2008: The
year began with a huge NYE gig in the Ludowa Hall in Wroclaw followed by
gig's in San Francisco and Washington, furthermore new
countries like Argentina, Indonesia, Moldavia, Domenican Republic and Japan. After the great
success of the “The Perspective Space” release and a new remix for Markus
Schulz and Andy Moor's “Daydream” Ronski released in April 'all the way'
with us singer Aruna and is now focusing his work on the
first artist album…
